I love the look of the dish and definitely it is a complete meal with all the proteins and veggies with it. Notwithstanding the fact that it contains black rice, which recently had been found to contain high level of antioxidants. We all can enjoy this meal and get the health benefits of black rice.

HI Olive, I've eaten black rice before but I've never tried to cook with it. I do actually love the nutty flavour, but like you I can't eat it everyday. The recipe you posted sounds delicious though, especially with the addition of pork.

Yum Olive, this sounds delicious. We have a black or somewhat black wild rice that grows in the midwestern parts of the U.S. The American Indians often harvest and sell it even today. It is really delicious, so I know yours must be too!

Love this. Definitely much more healthy than the rice I normally use. I'll try this out!

I would love this one. We ate a lot of black rice when we were young. It was so fragrant! It was planted locally and my mom said it's more nutritious and good for our body. I really miss that.

I have never cooked black rice in this way before. Come to think of it I have never eaten savory black rice! I usually cook it as a congee with coconut milk and sugar for sweetness. This recipe of yours is certainly interesting and versatile as you said. Great idea!
